Because I like to live life with the motto that there's no such thing as too much information, I wanted to outline in this post some more details about Developing Education.
What is Developing Education?
Developing Education is the culmination of my experience with photography. After so many years of practicing and developing my own skills, I decided early this year that I wanted to give back and help others who are interested in learning.
What service(s) do you offer?
The flagship service is the one on one session. I find that being able to sit down and have a discussion, not a lecture, is beneficial to all learning styles. One on one sessions have traditionally only been in person, but I'm now able to do them via Skype, opening up a literal world of possibilities. Don't live in Seattle? No problem!
What topics do you cover?
My ultimate mission is to get every fledgling photographer out of automatic mode, and comfortable with using manual settings. However, I do understand that alot of people just want to take really good photos, without having to learn a new language. And with the advent of smartphone photography, there's plenty to learn about basic composition, lighting, posing, expression, and finding your own voice, without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a new camera.
What if I don't have a camera, do you have any advice?
Of course! We can talk about what types of photography interest you, what you want to use the camera for, and from there I can suggest several options for cameras, lenses, the whole kit to help you capture the images you want to create!
How do I book a session?
It couldn't be simpler! Visit the main Developing Education page, scroll to the bottom and click "Book A Session", then select "Purchase", and it takes you directly to the checkout page where you can enter any promo codes! Be sure to select desired date and time, and let us know a bit about what you'd like to learn!
I want to spend more than an hour talking about photography, do you offer extended sessions?
I certainly do, all you have to do is ask! Email me at hello@dominicarenas.photos and let me know that you'd like a 2 hour session, and we'll set it up!
Well, those are all of the frequently asked questions, if you have any questions of your own, please email hello@dominicarenas.photos and I would love to answer them!
